Nice bible, perfect for what I needed. I have a very nice leather bound bible that I received on my wedding day from a friend but it is very large and "formal" and I do not feel comfortable highlighting it. This paperback bible is perfect for a more utilitarian purpose - to read and highlight and make notes/comments on. Good price. I would recommend its purchase.

This translation is a well addition to my collection of Catholic Bibles and I look forward to reading it but the quality of the Bible was very disappointing, especially after it arrived pretty banged up by FedEx while in transit. The cover had multiple creases and the top of some pages dented by constant dropping or throwing while in transit. Better packaging would help fix the damage issues. I have purchased other translations (NAB-RE, RSV-CE. NRSV-CE) at similar prices that were paperback or covers of imitation leather of much better quality than this Bible. I would highly recommend the manufacturer or the Augustine Institute follow the lead of other Catholic Bible printers and upgrade the cover for a few $$'s more and it would well worth the cost. I keep my ESV-CE in a zipper bible case just to protect it from getting damaged any more from the basic handling and storage of the book.
