New symbolon
Although I think this book is amazing and well written I do not think it has an easy to understand , user friendly progression or concept structure. For example - for a person who is learning about Catholicism it is challenging to understand what is meant with titles like “Born of the Virgin Mary “. In session six there are many concepts being covered , among them divine revelation, which is fundamental and worthy of its own session. . I know that you have attempted to present this material within the construct of the Nicean Creed but for a non catholic it has been difficult. I think this symbolon program is better suited for a person who is already Catholic with some understanding of church teachings. Perhaps it is for Catholics who want to further grow in their faith and understanding. I would also like to add although the blue ray dvd is beautiful it is not as engaging as the first/old symbolon and I do not like the fact that most of the presenters seldom look directly at the Camera. It is so obvious that they are Reading scripts. For some reason, not looking into the camera makes this seem very staged and impersonal. I never got that feeling while listening to Dr. Edward Sri And the various other presenters. It is a shame because the Blu-ray really does make the images, more vivid, and colorful. Please consider redoing the presentations and make them appear more engaged with the audience and more relaxed..
